Where is La Grange Dureau

"La Grange Dureau" is 5km south of the town of Longue (pronounced Longay).

Longue is the major town in the Canton of Longue-Jumelles, which is the largest in France. Longue contains all the vital necessities such as boulangerie, boucherie, bank, maison de la presse, bars and three supermarkets.

A boulangerie, small supermarket and a bar are only a pleasant 15 mins cycle ride to south, in the village of St-Clement-des-Levees on the banks of the Loire.

The property is in a secluded position over 500 metres from the nearest neighbours. The pool is only overlooked by farmland. In summer the only disturbance to the rural tranquility will be you.

Longue is on the N147 just south of the junction with the D938 and also just south of Junction 2 of the E60 peage (motorway).

To get to "La Grange Dureau" continue south past Longue on the N147 until you come to a large roundabout with a huge Super-U Hypermarche and petrol station on the left. Turn right (to the west) on the D79 to "Les Rosiers". Initially this is a large new road. You will pass several signs to Longue. Continue straight over the next roundabout on the D79 to "Les Rosiers".

You will be turning left after about 1 km onto the D213. The turning is the second on the left, signed to St Clement-des-Levees - be warned it is not the first turning to St Clement-des-Levees. The junction is a crossroads. On the left, just before the junction there is a large house with an enormous stack of wood in a field.

Turn left and follow the road that winds through the fields until you come to the 3rd turning on the right.

Opposite the juncton there is a house with a gas tank near the road. If you haven't passed a pond on the right then you haven't gone far enough. If you have crossed a little river - l'Authion - then you have gone too far.

Turn right and La Grange Dureau is the first house on the right, about 500 metres from the junction
